Spoken Word Editing Methods (from a DUC post on post-roll) When I edit spoken word material, I set Pre-Roll for a few seconds, and Post-roll to 10 minutes. But I turn Pre- and Post-roll "off" (buttons not lit) so that I can play immediately from any given point. After doing an edit, I hold Ctrl+Alt and hit the Right Arrow, which plays from the current location with Pre- and Post-roll. Then I hear my how my edit worked, and the material continues to play until I hear something else that needs to be edited, which could be any time after, but will surely be in less than 10 minutes. I also make Memory Locations that store a shorter Pre-roll and and longer one, so I can instantly switch between them depending on how much I think I need to hear to make sure the edit didn't interupt the natural flow. ---
